Healing isn’t a linear path…
A healthier you is one step closer to a healthier world…
There’s nothing more important (in my opinion) than building & maintaining good health so that we can live our best life. The way we feel has everything to do with how our life unfolds. The way we feel has everything to do with the daily decisions that we make, and how we treat others.
I always hear people in various health groups say that we must work on our past traumas, and the emotional separately from our diet, not realizing that they go hand in hand.
A great number of people believe that it is our past traumas that are the cause of our symptoms and disease issues. Traumas do not cause disease. Prolonged stress can contribute to our condition, yet Our current state of health when trauma occurs has everything to do with how we deal & handle the stressful or traumatic situations.
Given the current state of human health, and how our world is currently operating (for lack of a better description), hardly anyone escapes some type of stress or trauma, I too experienced trauma early on in childhood, however, looking back I realize that had I been in better health, I would have been able to effectively deal with the situation. My health symptoms began at the age of 6.
What is not always realized is that overtime, with correct diet & lifestyle, as the whole body heals, this is precisely how we go about healing our emotions and past traumas while setting ourselves up to effectively deal with any future stressful situations.
I’ll admit, building health & maintaining our health long term can be a challenge (especially in the first couple years) and daily effort & motivation is required to earn the privilege of good health, because at every turn, unhealthy foods, situations, people & practices are commonplace. Good health is earned. Poor health is also earned, either way, daily effort one way or the other is required to achieve our personal outcomes.
Knowledge & confidence with applying this healthy knowledge daily is imperative, this is where this group really can help. It is empowering and motivating to witness others on this path who are not afraid to share their struggles and their successes.
The truth is simple, but in this overcomplicated world, people have a tough time remaining on track without support.
The confusion is real, and when almost everyone around us chooses sickness & disease over health (whether they realize it or not, they do) sometimes it’s difficult to stay motivated. What I realized over the years was that the reason I was having issues with food was not because I had a problem, the food was the actual problem. The foods that are not biologically suited for our species are so addictive and stimulating that it requires strength, patience, knowledge, and perseverance to eliminate those foods from our diets, and even after we do, those foods are still there everywhere we go, and with everyone that we know.
It takes time to reach that point where those foods that other people eat are no longer considered an option or desired . It’s a process.
What I find so unfortunate is that our true talents, potential and abilities are put on hold in this lifetime as we must take time away to learn how to heal. This information on how to properly feed and care for ourselves should be knowledge passed down generation to generation so that we can all flourish and get on with our lives focussing on other things, but instead we’ve been saturated in a world of dietary misinformation and confusion that leads us on lifetime quests to solve the health / healing puzzle.
What’s truly ironic in my own personal life is that my father had read Arnold Ehrets work at the age of 19 & because of it, he moved to Hawaii to live off quality fruits & to fast in the jungle. His family thought he was crazy & wanted to commit him.
My father found this path too lonely, and to difficult, so he abandoned this information and sunk back into “normal life”. My father raised my two sisters and I on his own. We had milk and cheese in the fridge like everyone else.
When I discovered Arnold Ehrets literature without any prior knowledge to his experience with it & found out that he learned this knowledge long ago, I couldn’t understand why we had milk in the fridge.
That’s just how powerful the other side is, he didn’t want to stand out, and take on a label, not back then when he was already under scrutiny for raising 3 girls on his own.
I am sharing this personal information as testament for just how difficult this path can be for many people. We must get creative within our own personal lives and situations to successfully incorporate this information and we must want it more than anything else, not losing sight of the truth as my father did.
I truly feel for the people out there that will not discover this information because they either rejected it, or they simply didn’t look in the right places.
So on that note, in a sense we are absolutely blessed and fortunate to have figured out how to maintain our health, and how to put the conditions in place for the body to heal.
For myself, it wasn’t an easy task, what’s even more interesting is the day that I found Arnold Ehrets book among a friends things, I was walking down the stairs in this large shop/loft and my father happened to be walking up the stairs in that very moment because he had stopped by for an unexpected visit. He lived an hour away. He didn’t visit often.
As I was walking down, he was walking up. We met in the middle. I said hi. He looked at the book I was carrying – Rational Fasting by Arnold Ehret and he said “that book? That guy just irks me”! In that moment he almost deterred me from reading it which would have changed everything! He then told me that he had read it, and to let him know what I thought of it.
I read Ehrets book in a couple days, I couldn’t put it down, I was like a sponge, the information was blowing me away yet I knew that I finally had ahold of some truth! I called my father to tell him that it was the most important book that I had ever read . He said that we will “see how I am” in a few years.
Today he is proud that I am able to maintain my health, and to remain strong. I now understand that when he tried to deter me from reading Ehrets book, it was because his traumas and hardships came flooding back and he wanted to save me from the misery and hardship that comes along with self healing.
It’s unfortunate that he didn’t get to experience what comes next if he had not let himself get derailed. Today I experience an indescribable enjoyment and appreciate for the nourishing food, and strength in who I am, and what I know, unlike anything that I’ve ever experienced and I’m only getting started!
This path has allowed me to finally experience who I truly am because I am no longer filled with toxins, and clouded by my waste, I am no longer damaged through my choices.
I’m not saying that I am there, or done, everyday I continue to learn and effort will always be required to maintain our health, however, this is the healthiest that I’ve ever felt thanks to myself and to those who put this information out there so that we too can learn and reap the rewards from.
I want to thank all of you for having the courage and the inner drive to become the healthiest versions of yourselves, don’t give up!
If you are having a difficult time staying motivated, please reach out, it’s okay to mess up, or to feel off, but the important thing is that we don’t let it derail us entirely. Get back at it, all things worthwhile in life require effort, our health is no different.
